Mr. Vishrut Thapa, the Executive Director of the Banking Department at Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), has been appointed as the Chairman of Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL). He was sworn in by Deputy Governor Mr. Bam Bahadur Mishra on June 7, 2024.

Mr. Thapa, a Chartered Accountant with over 21 years of experience at NRB, succeeds Mr. Ramu Poudel, the former Executive Director of the Bank Supervision Department.

The NCHL board includes representatives from NRB, commercial banks, development banks, finance companies, and an independent director. NCHL, a public limited company promoted by NRB and major banks and financial institutions, aims to establish multiple national payment and settlement systems in Nepal.
